Steering a motor in Manila is an insane activity - CNN

Cable News Network (CNN) has released its "10 insane activities for thrill-seekers" and driving a motorcycle in Manila, Philippines, had made it to #7. According to CNN, Manila hospitals tallied up to 1,662 injuries from motorbike accidents in the first 3 months of 2010. In #1 spot is crossing the "most dangerous bridge in the world" in Pakistan.

Wanted female bus drivers - MMDA

Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA) is pushing its project to hire female bus drivers. They have cited other major cities like New York and Beijing for having lady bus drivers and planning to emulate it in hope to minimize bus-related accidents in Metro Manila. MMDA will provide free training and work referral to qualified candidates. Applications can be sent to jobs@mmda.gov.ph.

Aquino to attend Cebu's Sinulog 2011

President Noynoy Aquino will be attending Cebu's Sinulog annual festival on Sunday. This festival is known for honoring Santo Nino (Holy Child), the vision of the child Jesus, the patron saint of Cebu City, Philippines. Selling and buying of liquors and other alcoholic drinks are strictly banned during the festivities.

President Noynoy sold his BMW and bought a sportscar

President Aquino was criticized for buying a pre-owned Porsche sportscar when a third of Philippine's population lives on less than P45 a day. The bachelor president sold his old BMW and took out a personal loan to buy his new car. His spokesman said that President Noynoy bought the car because it was already depreciated or else he wouldn't even consider of buying the car.

Sharon Cuneta rushed to St. Luke's Hospital

The Megastar, Sharon Cuneta, was rushed to St. Luke's Hospital last Tuesday night right after her birthday concert in Araneta Coliseum. She even slipped during her performance with Billy Crawford and RJ Jacinto but she still was able to finish the whole concert. She was complaining about dizziness and pain in the neck and back. After a few hours, the Megastar was discharged from the hospital after the check up.

3 members of West African drug syndicate arrested due to drug trafficking and using overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) as couriers of drugs to other countries. It was said that this syndicate is offering to a courier around USD 1,000 for bringing drugs to a particular destination (country). Drug trafficking in some countries is punishable by death.
